A dynamic strategist and communicator, Rochelle brings a unique and multi-faceted skill set to the Husch Blackwell Strategies team. With nearly fifteen years of political and legislative experience, her wealth of expertise spans across political, government affairs and private sector matters. Rochelle’s distinctive capabilities are driven by her innate ability to strategically plan around specific client needs and coordinating implementation with her extensive network of public policy and community leaders to deliver successful outcomes.
Prior to joining the HBS team, Rochelle effectually advocated for a multitude of clients, serving as a lobbyist for O’Hara Lindsay Government Relations in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her work there provided client solutions across a number of industries, including: telecommunications companies, infrastructure interests, utilities, large manufacturers, health insurance providers, political subdivisions and small business associations.
Rochelle’s attention to detail is evident in her capacity to manage clients through the legislative process while engaging legislators to effectively advocate for her clients. It was as a legislative aide to Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) that Rochelle would build her expertise of the legislative process. While serving for Sen. Fischer, Rochelle worked on the legislative team to pass Sen. Fischer’s landmark transportation funding (LB84) and led Sen. Fischer’s legislative agenda to reduce and eliminate occupation taxes placed on telecommunications customers.
Her dynamic personality delivers added-value for the HBS team and clients, as is evident in her talent in developing relationships with political candidates that she effortlessly forges into natural connections between such candidates and clients. Rochelle’s natural people skills also show in her ability to raise awareness about client policy needs through PAC development, contribution plans and planning political fundraisers.
Rochelle is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a Master of Public Affairs degree from the La Follette School of Public Affairs.
