With more than four decades of experience in both the public and private sectors, Bob provides insightful guidance on a multitude of domestic and international policy and regulatory issues as a Senior Advisor for Husch Blackwell Strategies.
Previously, Bob served as a corporate officer for the Detroit Edison Co. and represented the firm in regulatory and legislative matters before Congress, the executive branch and administrative agencies.
He previously served in the White House as Executive Secretary of the Presidential Clemency Board under President Gerald Ford and as Special Assistant to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Bob also participated on the transition teams of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush and Donald Trump.
Bob’s expertise often leads to dealing with the Departments of Transportation and Commerce. Recently, he led a team that successfully hosted a joint delegation from Nigeria that met with U.S. officials to increase trade and investment opportunities. His experience also includes an innate understanding of how to help clients advance their public policy and regulatory interests in the areas of health and safety, energy, environmental and economic development.
Bob received his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. In addition to his advisory role with HBS, he is a Partner at Husch Blackwell.
