WASHINGTON, DC – Singleton McAllister, Senior Advisor for Husch Blackwell Strategies, has been named to Lawyers of Color’s ‘Top Lobbyists & Influencers’ list for 2019. McAllister was celebrated, along with the Congressional Black Caucus and Hill staffers, at Lawyers of Color’s Caucus Prelude Reception that coincides with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference.

“Singleton’s career has been truly remarkable and her influence for good an exemplary model for everyone in the government affairs space,” said Gregg Hartley, Chief Executive Officer at Husch Blackwell Strategies. “The entire HBS team is extremely happy to see her recognized in such fashion. We are pleased to have her on our team.”

McAllister has been a leader in government relations and public policy law for over twenty years, having held several senior positions at the national level. Notably, she was senior counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Budget under former Congressman William H. Gray.

At Husch Blackwell Strategies, Singleton serves on government affairs teams representing non-governmental organizations, trade associations and institutions of higher learning.

Among her many accomplishments during her time on Capitol Hill, Singleton developed an extensive background in international development and used that experience to draft legislation that created the African Development Foundation (USADF); a government agency that supports African-led development and community growth through the provision of seed capital and technical support. She went on to serve as an advisory board member of USADF for ten years.

Lawyers of Color’s selection committee, comprised of its fellows, advisers, and editorial staff, chose distinguished influencers who may not fit the traditional definition of a lobbyist but are on the front lines of consequential national political and policy battles.
